A bit of a different kind of post today. Here I'm going to talk about my summer skin regime and how I achieve my clear summer skin. When it comes to the brand of beauty products that I use, they're kind of all over the place - they can range anywhere between Aesop and Grown Alchemist, to Sukin and Lush. It all depends on what product I'm after and what specific things I need within that product. My skin type is a combination of dry and oily, and super sensitive so I always need to be on the lookout for more organic products that allow my skin to breathe (or else all hell breaks loose on my face). I believe in keeping it simple and only using the basics in regards to skincare, hence my small selection of products. In winter it's even smaller with only a scrub or soap to wash and then a moisturiser.

So here's my regime:

1. CLEANSE with Grace and Cole Tea Tree and Witch Hazel scrub (available at Priceline) - Sukin Facial Scrub (available at Priceline) - Grown Alchemist Bar Soap (available at Myer and David Jones).

Here I usually switch up between the three depending on how my skin is feeling. The Grown Alchemist bar soap is perfect for taking away any oils, cleansing your face and leaving your face refreshed. I use the Grace and Cole Tea Tree and Witch Hazel scrub for a clean, oil stripping cleanse. It does leave your face quite dry afterwards but a moisturiser will fix that. I use the Sukin scrub on those dry days where the creamy formula hydrates and cleanses your skin.

2. TONING with Lush Cosmetics Eau Roma Water (Toner Water).

This item is perfect for summer as it keeps your skin hydrated and refreshed and covers those areas that you usually can't with a moisturiser. I often find myself taking this to the beach, as it's a perfect refresher for your sun-soaked, salty skin.

3. MOISTURISE with Aesop Camellia Nut Facial Hydrating Cream.

This moisturiser is great all year round for my combination sensitive skin, though on those hot summer days it can be a little too heavy (my skin is a little sensitive to heat) so I'll switch out to a Garnier Youth Radience Day Cream which is a lot lighter.

I also drink a tonne of water throughout the day and make sure to incorporate fruit and vegetables into my diet for even clearer skin.

I'd love to hear what your summer skin favourites are.
